Skype

1) The name of the technology that I am exploring for the second emerging technology is Skype.

2) Skype is a way to keep in contact with friends and family through computer phone calls, instant messages, and video chats for free. You are also able to call landline and cell phones for a small price.

3) Skype is relatively easy to use. Although the Skype guide has an accent, she can still be understood. It did not take me very long to set up my account, upload my picture, and start adding contacts.

4) I tried it out. I called my brother who is at ISU in Terre Haute. The video froze a couple times, but other than that, it was nice. He was glad to see me and his nephews.

5) The personalize tab is neat. You can add moods, messages, and videos for your friends and family to view.

Photo sharing using Photo Show

1. The name of the technology that I am exploring is Photo Show by Roxio.

2)Photo Show is a cool way to make slide shows to show off your pictures for free. There were a lot of different templates to choose from. There was also different music to choose from.

3) This technology was very user-friendly. The only thing I had to do was choose the photos I wanted to include in my slide show and upload them. It was a very easy step by step process that anyone would be able to understand.

4) My personal photo show is posted on my blog.

5) My tip would be to try the different templates to choose one that best suites your slide show.
